The Warehouse Associate functions as the support team for the production processing team; responsible for receiving, presorting and preparing donations and other product for distribution to the sales floor, assists donors and customers while keeping the store clean, safe and organized.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with donors, ensuring a positive experience
  • Accept donations and properly stack all carts
  • Weigh and record weights correctly of all product received
  • Break down boxes, bale clothes, linens or cardboard as needed, prepare seasonal product as needed
  • Organize all hanger carriers; filling all hanger rails on the sorting tables
  • Properly label and move filled gaylords to the proper area
  • Pair shoes and test electronics
  • Help prepare rugs and furniture for sales floor, provide furniture carry-out
  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks and trailers
  • Support processing team when needed including placing and removing items from the sales floor
  • Empty all trash cans daily, clean bathrooms and breakroom daily, dry and wet mop floors daily
  • Record storage inventory daily
  • Safely operate forklift and pallet jack to maintain efficient workflow 
  • Collaborate with production and warehouse team to meet daily, weekly and monthly sales targets
  • Assist in training and guiding new team members as needed
  • Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area, report any potential hazards at the store
  • Work independently, effectively and efficiently while paying close attention to detail
  • Follow policies and procedures
  • Perform additional and alternate roles at the request of supervisor
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Customer service experience, previous experience in warehouse operations
  • Friendly personality, trustworthy, dependable, responsible
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent communication, organizational and math skills, ability to read and write, Spanish is a plus
  • Valid forklift certification for employees assigned to use
  • Flexibility to work weekdays/nights, weekends, and holidays based on store’s operational needs, overtime may be required
  • Physical stamina with frequent standing, bending, walking, ability to lift 35-50 lbs, push/pull 1000 lbs on wheels
  • High School Diploma or equivalent certificate
